چکیده
The speedup of heavy numerical tasks by quantum computing is now actively investigated in various fields including data analysis physics and astronomy. In this paper, we propose a algorithm for matched filtering gravitational wave (GW) based on the previous work Gao et al. [Phys. Rev. Research 4, 023006 (2022)]. Our approach uses Monte Carlo integration signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) calculation instead fast Fourier transform used searches signal templates with high SNR amplitude amplification. way, achieve an exponential reduction qubit number compared al.'s algorithm, keeping quadratic over classical GW respect to template number.

Optimization of quantum Monte Carlo wave functions by energy minimization.
We study three wave function optimization methods based on energy minimization in a variational Monte Carlo framework: the Newton, linear, and perturbative methods. In the Newton method, the parameter variations are calculated from the energy gradient and Hessian, using a reduced variance statistical estimator for the latter. In the linear method, the parameter variations are found by diagonali...

Consider a Boolean function χ : X → {0, 1} that partitions set X between its good and bad elements, where x is good if χ(x) = 1 and bad otherwise. Consider also a quantum algorithm A such that A|0〉 = ∑ x∈X αx|x〉 is a quantum superposition of the elements of X, and let a denote the probability that a good element is produced if A|0〉 is measured. If we repeat the process of running A, measuring t...
متن کاملQuantum Monte Carlo Simulation
Contemporary scientific studies often rely on the understanding of complex quantum systems via computer simulation. This paper initiates the statistical study of quantum simulation and proposes a Monte Carlo method for estimating analytically intractable quantities. We derive the bias and variance for the proposed Monte Carlo quantum simulation estimator and establish the asymptotic theory for ...
متن کاملQuantum monte carlo.
An outline of a random walk computational method for solving the Schrödinger equation for many interacting particles is given, together with a survey of results achieved so far and of applications that remain to be explored. Monte Carlo simulations can be used to calculate accurately the bulk properties of the light elements hydrogen, helium, and lithium as well as the properties of the isolate...
متن کاملQuantum Monte Carlo
Monte Carlo methods are good for evaluating probabilistic integrals. A key feature of quantum mechanics is that we must deal with complex amplitudes rather than real positive probabilities. Intrinsically, Monte Carlo methods are not a “natural” match with quantum problems, and can only be successfully used where the quantum problem can be made to look like some classical problem. For example, t...
